HealthWarehouse.com Offers Federal Employees Up to 50% Discount

Perennial low-cost industry leader in prescription drugs seeks to help 800,000 impacted by partial shutdown, including 40,000 in Illinois

The record-long partial federal government shutdown has wreaked havoc nationally in a myriad of ways, starting with the 800,000 federal employees who have been forced on unpaid leave or are working without pay.

That figure includes about 40,000 federal employees in Illinois, most of whom are in the Chicago area, who have been impacted by the shutdown.

Although health insurance coverage remains in effect for nearly all those employees, their overall financial hardship has prompted HealthWarehouse.com to offer discounts to those who have been furloughed as well as federal personnel working without pay.

The company is committed to helping those individuals and their families during this difficult time with savings of up to 50 percent on their prescription costs, said HealthWarehouse CEO Joseph Peters.

“If you're a furloughed government employee and you need assistance with your prescription medication costs, nothing should stop you from getting the medication you and your family need,” said Peters. “Our team is comprised of pharmacy and consumer experts. We will do everything in our power to help you afford your medication, whether that means getting your prescription right here, or providing expert advice on other ways to save."

It will take time for people to recover financially even after the shutdown comes to an end, Peters noted. As a result, HealthWarehouse will continue the federal employee discount pricing for a month beyond the shutdown’s conclusion.

Now in its 11th year of business, HealthWarehouse has developed a strong customer base in Illinois, particularly in and around Chicago.

By modernizing healthcare’s most archaic delivery system, HealthWarehouse has emerged, objectively and perennially, as the leader in low-cost prescription drugs. For three years in a row, leading consumer experts have recognized HealthWarehouse as having the lowest cost for prescription drugs that were randomly price-checked.

As a result, ordering from HealthWarehouse already figures to offer substantial savings to anyone. However, the company wants to do more to rally around workers who are facing a continued furlough that could last weeks longer.

Founded in 2008, HealthWarehouse has 100 employees who work at the company’s headquarters in Florence, Kentucky. The company is unique in its status as both a pharmacy expert and a consumer-advocacy authority.

Orders and other inquiries can be made through the company’s website at www.HealthWarehouse.com or by calling 1-800-748-7001.

HealthWarehouse.com (OTCQB: HEWA) is America’s only Verified Internet Pharmacy Practice Sites (VIPPs) and mail-order pharmacy licensed and/or authorized in all 50 states, headquartered in the Cincinnati metropolitan area. Its state-of-the-art 28,000-square foot pharmacy services more than 500,000 customers.

The company is focused on the growing out of pocket prescription market, with a mission to provide affordable healthcare to every American. All of its products, prescription drugs and over-the-counter items, are FDA approved and legal for sale in the United States. In addition to human medications, the company carries medications found at veterinary offices.
