Lincoln Park Bike Shop Robbed
More than $20K worth of merchandise was stolen, its owner said.

CHICAGO — Robbers have targeted a Lincoln Park bike shop twice this month, and now its owner may be forced to close the business, according to a report by ABC 7. The latest robbery happened early Tuesday morning, police said. More than $20,000 worth of equipment and bikes were stolen.
Four robbers broke the front door glass of Cycle Smithy at about 4:30 a.m. in the 2400 block of North Clark Street.
Witnesses said the thieves took off in two vehicles south on Lake Shore Drive, according to a report by ABC 7.

Robbers also targeted the store on Jan. 27, and owner Mark Mattei put security bars up at the front of the shop after the robbery, ABC 7 reported. But the thieves cut through the bars, he said.
No one was in custody.
