The exchange on the Burling Street home was the second priciest in Chicago this year.

CHICAGO, IL - One of the most expensive homes in city limits changed hands this week.

A 14,000-square-foot mansion on Burling Street in Lincoln Park sold for $13.3 million this week after 18 months on the market, according to Crain’s Chicago. Since October, the home had been listed for $16.9 million.

Tim Salm of Jameson Sotheby’s International Realty bought the Palladian-style villa from Tim Mullen, a part-owner of the Tampa Bay Rays, and his wife, Alicia. The sale marked the second-highest priced home taken off the market this year, only trailing a $18.75 million purchase of a Park Tower condo.
