Maddux, Thomas Make Baseball Hall of Fame

One Cubs player an one White Sox player made the Baseball Hall of Fame this year.

Chicago baseball legends Greg Maddux, of the Cubs, and Frank Thomas, of the White Socks, were elected into the Baseball Hall of Fame on Wednesday.

Maddux played baseball for 23 years, and won four Cy Young awards and 355 games. He received 97.2 percent of the vote by the Baseball Writers Association of America, making him the second highest in voting history, the Tribune states.  Thomas played for the White Sox for 16 years out of his 19-year career. He received 83.7 percent of the vote to make it into the Hall of Fame, according to the Tribune article

Sammy Sosa, a former Cub, only received 7.2 percent of the vote, due to rumors of him using performance-enhancing drugs, according to the Tribune article. Former Cubs player Lee Smith and former White Sox player Tim Raines were also on the ballot, but didn't make it into the Hall of Fame, with 29.9 percent and 46.1 percent of the vote respectively.

Former Braves pitcher Tom Glavine also made it into the Hall of Fame this year.

Do Maddux and Thomas deserve to be in the Hall of Fame? Who do you think was snubbed this year?
