CHICAGO — A man tried to lure children from a school in Lincoln Park Wednesday, police said in a community alert. The man told the children he was their ride-share driver.

The students were outside for recess at about 1:15 p.m. in the 600 block of West Drummond Place, when the man pulled up in a black minivan, police said. He told them, "I'm your Uber driver, get in the car," according to the community alert.

The children went to go tell a staff member and the man drove off, police said.
