CHICAGO, IL — Dining in Michelin-starred, highly-acclaimed restaurants may cost you your whole paycheck, according to a recent report by The Daily Meal. The site named the most expensive restaurant in each state, and explained what's behind the big bill. The website named steakhouses, farm-to-table eateries and flagship restaurants — some that start at $500 per person.

The Daily Meal named the famous Chicago restaurant Alinea as the most expensive restaurant in Illinois. Grant Achatz's three-Michelin Star flagship in Lincoln Park has won countless awards and appears in many 'best of' lists around the world.
