Patrick Kane Ties NHL Legend's Point-Streak Record
Bobby Hull's Chicago Blackhawks team record of 21 consecutive games with a point has been matched.
Chicago Blackhawks star Patrick Kane tied a franchise record Thursday night, one held by the immortal Bobby Hull.
When Kane found the back of the net for a goal during the second period of the team’s game against the Ottawa Senators in Canada, he had earned at least one point for 21 consecutive games, something only Hull did as a Blackhawk.

Kane’s streak began on Oct. 17 during a win over the Columbus Blue Jackets. Hull’s streak went from Dec. 5, 1971, to Jan. 23, 1972.
“Bobby had an unbelievable career and holds a lot of different Blackhawk records,” Kane told Tribune Sports before the game. “I’ve grown pretty close to Bobby over the past few years. He’s an awesome guy to be around, just his stories about him playing hockey are ones to marvel at and ones that get you excited about playing hockey.”

The streak-tying goal came on a shot from the right circle with the Hawks on a two-man advantage. Duncan Keith and Artemi Panarin provided the assists on the goal that cut the Senators’ lead to 2-1. Kane assisted on a Panarin goal that tied the game later in the period.
During the streak, Kane has 13 goals and 20 assists.
According to NHL.com, Kane’s streak is the longest for any player in the NHL since Sidney Crosby scored a point in 25 straight games in 2010. Kane also has the longest point-streak in NHL history by a U.S.-born player.
