Police Warn Of Cell Phone Robberies In Lincoln Park

Thieves have been targeting victims on North Side streets, police said in a community alert.

CHICAGO — Robbers have been stealing cell phones from people in the Lincoln Park neighborhood, police said in a community alert Thursday. The thefts occurred between Nov. 17 and Dec. 10, according to the alert.

The robbers approach the victims and either grab the cell phones from their hands or take the phones by force, police said.

• in the 2200 block of North Burling St. on Saturday, Nov. 17, in the afternoon hours.
• in the 1600 block of North Clybourn Ave. on Tuesday, Nov. 27, in the
afternoon hours.
• in the 2000 block of North Burling St. on Friday, Dec. 7, in the afternoon hours.
• in the 300 block of West Concord Pl. on Monday, Dec. 10, in the evening
hours.
