Pour-Your-Own-Beer Bar Tapster Coming To Lincoln Park
Tapster will open its doors in the former Wrightwood Tap and Tavern 57 spot, owners announced.

CHICAGO, IL — From The Wrightwood Tap to Tavern 57, and now the soon-to-open Tapster, the bar at 1059 W Wrightwood in Lincoln Park has been serving beer for more than 75 years. The pour-your-own-beer bar's new location is slated to open in mid-summer, according to a Tapster Facebook post.
The bar has a popular Wicker Park location, and Tavern 57 said the new Lincoln Park location is the "perfect concept to carry on the long-standing tradition of 1059 W Wrightwood Ave," the post read.
The new location needs to undergo some "minor" changes and the installation of the self-pour draft system before it opens, according to the post.

"Self-pouring draft beer, wine, and cocktails is trending across the country, and should be a very complimentary concept for the neighborhood," the post read.
Tavern 57 said all its social media accounts will be changing over to Tapster accounts.
