40th Ward To Offer Property Tax Exemption Assistance

The Cook County Commissioner's staff will visit the 40th Ward office next Wednesday to assist residents, Ald. Pat O'Connor announced.

CHICAGO — Homeowners who need help applying for property tax exemptions are invited to stop by the 40th Ward service office next week for assistance, Ald. Pat O'Connor announced in a notice to residents. The session will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 30, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the office at 5850 N. Lincoln Avenue.

Cook County Commissioner Bridget Gainer's staff will be on hand to answer questions and help with the application process, O'Connor said.

Attendees are asked to bring a photo ID and a copy of their 2017 second installment property tax bill.

Anyone with questions about the process is also invited to call the 40th Ward office at 773-769-1140, the alderman said.
