Beer Explorer Passport Encourages Use of Lincoln Avenue Bus
Local chambers work with Active Transportation Alliance to propel bus ridership and patronage of Lincoln Avenue bars.
CHICAGO, IL - Drinking at bars on Lincoln Avenue this month could pay off for bus riders in Lincoln Park and Lincoln Square.
Area chambers and the Active Transportation Alliance have introduced the Beer Explorer Passport, which encourages people to ride the #11 Lincoln Avenue bus during its test trial run and drink at local pubs by offering prizes at a drawing in September.
Anyone of legal drinking age can ride the bus from August 1-31 and collect stamps at the 11 participating businesses. Those who collect at least five stamps will be entered into a drawing to win prizes including a dinner at Half Acre Taproom, Chicago Brewery Map posters from Beermiscuous and $25 Lakeview gift cards.

And, of course, riding the bus more often will help bring the #11 service back full-time since the CTA has only agreed to a six month test of the service that runs from Howard Street to the Fullerton Avenue stop.
The 11 bars participating are Burnt City Brewing, Delilah’s, Beermiscuous, The Green Lady, Bitter Pops, Bottles and Cans, ROCKS Northcenter, Half Acre Beer Company, Gideon Welles, The Grafton Pub and MASH Craft Kitchen + Patio.
