Budlong Hot Chicken Reopens In Lincoln Square

After closing in September, the spot on Western Avenue has officially reopened.

CHICAGO — Budlong Hot Chicken's Lincoln Square location has re-opened only four months after it was shuttered. Known for its spicy, crispy fried chicken, the restaurant at 4619 N. Western Avenue opened on Thursday with new items on the menu.

The Budlong Hot Chicken concept started in Lincoln Square, and owner Jared Leonard told Eater Chicago that he "owes it" to the neighborhood to stick it out there. He said that temporarily closing the Lincoln Square spot allowed his team to "regroup," according to the report.

Weekend brunch will now be offered at the spot, according to Eater. The potato flour donuts, Spudnuts, will be offered on weekends.
