Burglars Posing As City Workers In Ravenswood, Edgewater
Burglars have been targeting elderly people living on the North and Northwest sides, police warned.
CHICAGO — Investigators are searching for suspects wanted for posing as city workers and pretending to make inspections inside people's homes, police said in a community alert. At least seven homes were targeted between Feb. 8 and March 13 on Chicago's North and Northwest sides, police said.
In each burglary, one suspect pretended to conduct inspections while another stole property from the homes, police said.
In some instances, when the burglars were denied access, they forced their way in, according to police.
