Burglars Posing As Repairmen In Ravenswood, Budlong Woods
Police issued a community alert for North Side residents warning of burglars pretending to do home repairs.

CHICAGO — Police are warning residents in the 20th District to be vigilant after a string of burglaries were reported in the Ravenswood and Budlong Woods neighborhoods. Police said the burglars posed as repairmen to gain access to people's homes.
Once inside the residence, the burglars lured the victims into another room or outside to distract them, police said. Another suspect then stole property.

- 2500 block of W. Ainslie St. on Dec. 26 at 2:30 p.m.;
- 2700 block of W. Balmoral Ave. on Jan. 12 at 6:30 p.m.;
- 2600 block of W. Carmen Ave. on Jan. 15 at 2:45 p.m.
