Chicago Police CAPS Meeting To Be Held In Lake View East
The meeting will discuss policing in the 19th District's beats 1934 and 1935, which include parts of Lake View and Lincoln Park.

CHICAGO — The 19th District will be holding a Community Alternative Policing Strategy meeting on Monday, April 8 at 6:30 p.m. in Lake View East. The meeting will discuss crime, community concerns and other policing issues in beats 1934 and 1935, which include Lake View East and Lincoln Park's Wrightwood Neighbors and Park West neighborhoods . The CAPS meeting will be held at the Second Unitarian Church, 656 W. Barry.
The main purpose for holding beat meetings is for local residents and police to work together to identify, address and solve chronic problems in the area.
The meetings are hosted by the Chicago Police Department, and will include an overview of progress made on problems addressed in the former beat meeting, as well as new problems, strategies and coordination of responsibilities.

Residents, business owners and representatives from local schools, churches and neighborhood organizations are encouraged to attend, the CPD said.
