Chicago Police CAPS Meeting To Be Held In Uptown
The meeting will discuss policing issues in the 20th District's Beat 1914, which includes part of Uptown.

CHICAGO — The 19th District will be holding a Community Alternative Policing Strategy meeting on Wednesday, April 10 at 7 p.m. in Uptown. The meeting will discuss crime, community concerns and other policing issues in the 19th District's Beat 1914, which includes part of Uptown. The CAPS meeting will be held at Clarendon Park Community Center, 4501 N. Clarendon.
The main purpose for holding beat meetings is for local residents and police to work together to identify, address and solve chronic problems in the area.
Hosted by the Chicago Police Department, the meeting will include an overview of progress made on problems addressed in the former beat meeting, as well as new problems, strategies and the coordination of responsibilities.

Residents, business owners and representatives from local schools, churches and neighborhood organizations are encouraged to attend, the CPD said.
