Chicago Way condoned in Lincoln Square
Corruption, Lincoln Square, Pawar, Schulter, North Park Elementary School, NPES, Chicago Way

Dear Lincoln Square/Chicago:
And no this isn't a viral letter about us leaving Chicago.....yet.
So we are now in appeals court in our litigation against North Park Elementary School in the 47th Ward. This was all simply due to our refusal to sell our property (in Coonley boundary area) to the private school so our kids could attend Coonley.

I am still dumbfounded by the justice system in light of the evidence as it continues to side with the influential/well connected in our liberal enclave. Having spent thousands of dollars ourselves to bring truth to light, the influential still have an upper hand as they are well versed in the lawyer game. Even more disturbing is how we tend to focus on events at a national level and protest those while ignoring the happenings in our own backyard. Shouldn't we have our house in order first?
Apparently emails/texts received in discovery such as those outlined below are not enough to show corruption/threats/RICO in our city's courts:

Board Member/Developer to NPES: "I’m going to push his (Chadha) buttons today. My statement to him will be that my customers feel his property is worth less now and may want to wait for city foreclosure and buy it as a side yard."
Principal to NPES Board Members: "Negotiations on 2035 w Montrose have completely halted….We could re-contact the Alderman’s Office and see if he can speed up the court date or put additional pressure on the owner. "
Principal to Board Members/Parents: "Even though Alderman’s staff was on a furlough day, Dan Luna showed up to court (to thank him, I’m having lunch sent in for their whole office on Friday.) 4 of the neighborhood moms and Chris attended."
NPES Board Member meeting notes: "Chris feels we need to put this to rest before the owner has a better understanding of our role throughout the last 3-4 months…..I know the Alderman’s office will do anything possible to help us get that property…"
From Principal to parents/community: "We need 47th ward residents....I'm not suggesting parents say they're from NPES; instead that they are just concerned neighbors :-) L"
Board Member/Developer in text message to me: "Good luck hope the city doesn't take it away. This was a sure thing"
As an immigrant from India, these are the type of Banana Republic antics that we despise back in the motherland, yet we can find them here too.
Thanks for listening and hopefully we can start local and hold our neighbors accountable,
