Classic Rock, Finding Nemo Entertains Lincoln Square This Weekend

Along with local events, the Taste of Lincoln is taking over one of the city's largest streets.

Giddings Plaza Concert
Classic jams will flow down Lincoln Avenue Thursday night for the weekly concert series at Giddings Plaza. The Jukebox Heroes will serenade residents starting at 6:30 p.m.

Outdoor Movie Night
Finding Dory won't come out until 2015, but Nemo fans can get their fix by watching Finding Nemo with their neighbors Saturday night.

Hosted at 4250 N. Paulina Ave. in the parking lot of Ravenswood Elementary, residents are encouraged to bring their own blankets and food.

Barbecue and popcorn will start at 6:30 p.m. with the show beginning around 8 p.m.

A $7 ticket cost covers movie licenses and food. 

Taste of Lincoln
One of the longest-running summer street parties in the city, the local Taste is ringing in its 30th year Saturday and Sunday. Sprawling over several city blocks and side streets on the eponymous strip of Lincoln Avenue between Fullerton and Wrightwood avenues in Lincoln Park, this year's festivities include more than 35 musical performances on four stages, about 100 vendor booths, a stand-alone Kids Carnival area and of course, all the local brews and bites behind its namesake.

Rummage Sale at Ravenswood Evangelical Covenant Church
Hunting for bargains was never this easy. The church is hoisting a two-day sale at the intersection of Damen and Ainslie avenues Saturday from 8 to 3 p.m. and Sunday from 11 to 3 p.m.
