Culver's Finally Comes to Chicago With Wrigleyville Location

Plus, some customers will be able to get an apartment above the restaurant to go with their butter burger order.

Wisconsin is known for two things that don’t drive Chicagoans into fits of uncontrollable rage:* custard, cheese curds and butter burgers.

That’s why it’s good news that the city will finally be getting its first Culver’s restaurant, a Wisconsin-based franchise known for it’s—you guessed it—custard, cheese curds and butter burgers.

Construction on a Culver’s location at Clark Street and Cornelia Avenue in Wrigleyville is expected to begin by the end of the year, according to a DNAInfo Chicago report. Developers expect construction to take about nine months, meaning it could be ready for the second half of the Chicago Cubs’ 2016 season, the report added

And this restaurant will have something Culver’s free-standing suburban Chicago locations won’t have: apartments right above it. Six two-bedroom units will be built above the restaurant, the report stated. That means you can have that first cardiac arrest from all those butter burgers clogging your arteries in the comfort of your own home.
