Folk Club at The Grafton celebrates 15th anniversary to support Music & Potlucks
CHICAGO IL - One January evening in 2004 after classes at the Old Town School of Folk Music, Distinguished Teaching Artist Mark Dvorak led a small group of student musicians into the back room of The Grafton Pub for an informal acoustic jam session. Those sessions still take place and on Tuesday, January 1, 2019 Folk Club @The Grafton will celebrate its 15th Anniversary with a special event to support the Oak Park River Forest Food Pantry and Housing Forward. The event takes place at The Grafton Pub, 4530 N. Lincoln Ave.

Organization I've been involved with for the past couple of years. They do incredible work using acoustic music to bring awareness and support to area agencies which server our neighbors in need."

"We're excited to be partnering with Mark and The Grafton on this event," said Stephanie Schrodt, spokeswoman for Music and Pot Lucks. "2018 has been a year of outreach for us and we're kicking off the new year on a very positive note."
Donations of canned or boxed food items will be accepted.

Fresh produce in good shape such a whole fruits, oranges and apples will be accepted.
Cash and checks will be accepted. (Checks made out to Oak Park River Forest Food Pantry)
A baggie of toiletries will be accepted (any combination shavers, shaving cream, toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, disposable diapers, etc
The 15th Anniversary at The Grafton takes place Tuesday January 1 at 8:00pm. All ages are welcome and there is no cover charge. Listeners are welcome and those wishing to play sing sing along only need to bring their acoustic instruments and be ready to join.
