Free CPR Class To Be Offered In Ravenswood
The annual CPR bystander training class will be held at Swedish Covenant Hospital on the North Side.

CHICAGO — A free CPR bystander training class will be held in the Ravenswood neighborhood this Thursday, Jan. 17. The class will be held at Swedish Covenant Hospital from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.
During the session, people will learn about the importance of “hands-only” CPR and how to respond in an emergency situation, Ald. Pat O'Connor said in a notice to residents.
Participants will be able to learn how to properly perform chest compressions with a mannequin. People will also learn how to use an Automated External Defibrillator.

"While this is not a certification class, it is a great opportunity to become familiar with the CPR process," O'Connor said in his notice.
While all ages are welcome to attend, hands-on practice is limited to people 12 years of age and older.
