French Market Returns To Lincoln Square

The 14th Annual Lycée French Market will transform the city's international school into a market filled with artisans and activities.

CHICAGO — More than 2,000 people are expected to flock to a bustling French market this weekend in Lincoln Square. The 14th Annual Lycée French Market transforms Chicago’s international school into a venue filled with local and French artisans selling home décor, jewelry, apparel and gourmet food. Guests can also enjoy the school's bistro, which will offer a menu with authentic French recipes.

The event will be held at the Lycée Français de Chicago, 1929 West Wilson Avenue, on Saturday, Nov. 17, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Sunday, Nov. 18, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Internationally acclaimed French artist and illustrator, Yann Legendre, will return as the poster artist for the event. Limited edition prints will be available for purchase at the market.

A $5 donation is suggested at entry. Tickets for the French Market are available for purchase at the door. Proceeds raised through the French Market will go to supporting student programs and resources at the Lycée, including financial aid, teacher training and classroom enhancements.

Damen Brown Line stop is one block from the school. Street or paid garage parking is also available at Ravenswood Garage, 4551 N Damen Ave.
