Hoppin' Around to North Side Egg Hunts (Photos)

With the sun shining and eggs hidden, families took to the streets of the North Side to celebrate Easter and the start of spring.
In Northcenter, the 26th Annual Spring Egg Hunt drew more than 500 children. The Northcenter Chamber of Commerce sent families up and down Lincoln Avenue to collect eggs. At noon, prizes were given for the best-decorated hat in the Spring Ahead Hat Contest.
Treats replaced chocolate at the Doggie Egg Hunt at Horner Park. More than 150 dogs donned bonnets for the 10th annual egg hunt and parade. Prizes were given for the best-dressed pooch.
