JCYS Opening New Center in Lincoln Square Ravenswood

Two-Story Early Childhood Education Center to Open 2019

Jewish Council for Youth Services (JCYS) is pleased to announce the new Iris & Steven Podolsky Family Center in Chicago’s Lincoln Square Ravenswood neighborhood. Scheduled to open in Summer 2019, the 18,000 square foot, two-story building located at 2112 W. Lawrence Ave will be the largest building dedicated to early childhood education and young families in the Lincoln Square Ravenswood neighborhood.

Featuring seven classrooms and large playrooms on each floor, and adjacent to the local favorite Vogle Park, the family center will offer full and half-day preschool, vacation day programs, and summer day camps. All programs previously offered at the Michael R. Lutz Family Center in Lakeview will move to the Lincoln Square Ravenswood center after the 2018-19 school year.

“Our new center will bring our existing Lakeview early childhood program, loved by parents and children for 40 years, to an exceptional facility built for the program itself,” said JCYS CEO Barbara Haworth. “We have attended to every detail so that this building will truly be a center for families. We have dedicated indoor play space that will serve our kids during the day and the community on evenings and weekends. Our kids and community will always have a place to play, gather, and call home.”
