Man Shoots Home Invader In Uptown: Police
A concealed carry holder shot a man who was breaking into his home, police said.

CHICAGO — A man was shot after he broke into a home Friday morning in Uptown, police said. The homeowner fired his handgun after confronting the man in his home in the 800 block of West Lakeside Place, according to Chicago police. The 42-year-old suspect broke in through a rear sliding door at about 12:08 a.m., police said.
The suspect was shot in the buttocks and taken to Illinois Masonic Medical Center in stable condition.
The homeowner has a valid Firearm Owners Identification card, police said. He was not injured.
