Resale Store on Montrose Converting to Celtic Gift Shop
The Irish owner of Second Journey Resale is revamping her clothing store to more familiar merchandise: traditional American and Celtic gifts.

Cecilia Carroll is going back to her Irish roots.
By the end of July, her shop, Second Journey Resale at 1940 W. Montrose Ave., will transition into an American and Celtic gift store.
Although the business's new name is yet-to-be-announced, Carroll knows she'll be selling traditional Irish goods like whiskey flasks and Celtic jewelry. Bath salts, crystals and fine bone china will also be imported from her home country.

The gift store will mirror her venture before Second Journey. Carroll owned an Irish shop on Southport Avenue for 7 years.
Until the Second Journey transforms, all merchandise in the store is on sale and jackets, coats and sweaters are all 40 percent off.
Carroll, a native of Mayo, Ireland, has been selling gently-used fashions at the shop since 2009.
Store hours are:
- Monday: Closed
- Tuesday through Friday: 11 to 6:30 p.m.
- Saturday: 11 to 5 p.m.
- Sunday: 11 to 4 p.m.
