Peter Gariepy gets another endorsement for Chicago Treasurer
Machine candidate, Ameya Pawar, named Alderman who received Burke money.
The Southside DFA joined a list of progressive groups and individuals to endorse the campaign of Peter Gariepy, including their counterparts at the Northside DFA. Gariepy, an actual Certified Public Accountant, stated that they earned the endorsement while being saddled with a frivolous and exhausting challenge to their petitions.
While the machine is lined up behind Ameya Pawar, current 47th Ward Alderman, Gariepy claims to be backed by people powered groups like the Southside DFA. Gariepy said, "Every day that I spend talking to voters it becomes clearer that the people of Chicago believe that the Chicago City Treasurer's office in the hands of a professional rather than a career politician."
Pawar was recently named as one of the numerous Aldermen/women to receive money from the toxic under indictment Burke, who everyone is trying to distance themselves from now.
