Pivot Arts Announces Spring/Summer LIVE TALK Series

at Uncommon Ground on Devon

Pivot Arts is pleased to announce the spring and summer line-up of its popular monthly LIVE TALK Series. Part performance, part live talk show, each evening includes quirky performances, interviews, live music and the Pivot DIY, an interactive audience segment. All performances are held at Uncommon Ground, 1401 W. Devon Ave. in Chicago. Doors open at 7 pm; performances begin at 7:30 pm. Food and drink are available for purchase. Tickets for LIVE TALK, priced at $12, are available at www.pivotarts.org/events.

Wednesday, April 19 at 7:30 pm

Artists and curators address how the current political climate is impacting their work. Hosted by 500 Clown Founder and Creative Director Adrian Danzig, the evening of unique performances includes the Lit Trio Eighty Foots Per Minute and Jenny Magnus of Curious Theater Branch, plus interviews with top multidisciplinary performance curators Shoni Currier, Director of Performance at DCASE, Jordan Martins of Logan Square's Comfort Station and Steven Wang, Executive Director of High Concept Labs.

LIVE TALK: May Day!

Wednesday, May 17 at 7:30 pm

Short celebratory performances and interviews with a focus on mindful living. Hosted by comedienne Plucky Rosenthal, enjoy globally-influenced pop music with Ami Saraiya, performances by multidisciplinary artists Udita Upadhyaya and Alexis Atwill, plus spoken word artists to be announced.
