The annual curated market will feature designers, artists and other local talent this weekend.
CHICAGO — More than 100 independent vendors will be selling their creations in Ravenswood this weekend for the annual Show of Hands market. The curated show — which is free for shoppers — will be held Saturday, April 27 and Sunday, April 28. A ticketed preview event will be held Friday evening.
The show will feature locally-crafted jewelry, ceramics, confections, leatherwork, woodwork, clothing, artisan food, skin care, pet products and many more creations.
The event will be held in the 80,000 square-foot Artifact Events space at 4325 N Ravenswood Avenue. The show will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, and the ticketed preview event will be held from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday. Tickets for the preview event are $5, and include a drink ticket, which is redeemable for brews from Begyle Brewing and cocktails from Jo Snow Syrups and Union Horse Distilling Co.

Emily Wentz, owner of the Chicago-based design company OrangeBeautiful, founded Show of Hands in 2013 to be "more than just another craft show," she said.
"It's a commitment to independent design. It's the presentation of high-caliber work in a professional way. It's the understanding that craft can be couture and handmade can be high-end."
