Service at the Chicago's Bryn Mawr station temporarily stopped Saturday as a bomb squad investigated the package, according to reports.

CHICAGO, IL — Red Line service on Chicago's North Side has resumed, though trains are continuing to bypass Bryn Mawr station as police investigate reports of a suspicious object.

The Chicago Transit Authority previously stopped service between Howard and Addison, according to an alert.

Riders should anticipate "residual delays" and plan accordingly, the alert said, adding that some trains and platforms may be busier than usual as crews work to restore normal service.
