Square Roots Festival 2018: Bands, Vendors, Events

CHICAGO, IL — Event organizers are busy setting up for one of Lincoln Square's biggest annual parties. The Square Roots Festival 2018 will feature more than 70 artists and bands — from local indie rockers to world music stars — on four stages. The event will also offer neighborhood food, regional craft beer and market vendors.

The event will be held on Lincoln Avenue between Montrose and Wilson on Friday, July 13 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., Saturday, July 14 from noon to 10 p.m. and Sunday, July 15 from noon to 9 p.m.

Donations at the gate help fund Old Town School of Folk Music scholarship programs and Lincoln Square Ravenswood Chamber of Commerce farmers markets and concerts. Suggested donations are $10 for adults, $5 seniors/kids and $20 for families.

The festival will also feature a Kid Zone, with activities, music and dance. The zone will also include an art tent, an instrument 'petting zoo' swing set drum kit. The Kid Zone is open on Saturday and Sunday from noon to 6 p.m.
