State Of Lincoln Square Meeting: Speakers, Parking, Schedule

The community meeting will be held Thursday, Oct. 18.

CHICAGO — The Heart of Lincoln Square Neighbors Association has announced its biggest meeting of the year will be held in mid October. The State of Lincoln Square community meeting will be held Thursday, Oct. 18, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at DANK Haus German American Cultural Center. Neighbors are invited to network starting at 6:30, and the event will begin "promptly" at 7 p.m., organizers said.

Local, state and federal officials will join community members at DANK Haus's Skyline Lounge (6th floor) at 4740 N. Western Ave.

The meeting's speakers will include:

  • Congressman Mike Quigley, U.S. Representative, 5th District
  • Representative Ann Williams, Illinois Representative, 11th District
  • Commissioner John Fritchey, Cook County Board of Commissioners, 12th District
  • Alderman Patrick O'Connor, City of Chicago, 40th Ward
  • Alderman Ameya Pawar, City of Chicago, 47th Ward
  • Commander Marc Buslik, Chicago Police Department, 19th District
  • Commander Sean Loughran, Chicago Police Department, 20th District

The Heart of Lincoln Square Neighbors Association recently celebrated its first anniversary, and its members and coordinators say they're proud of the nonprofit's rapid growth since its creation.
