Shakespeare in the Park
Shakespeare at Welles Park returns for another year. "The Comedy of Errors" premieres Friday at 6:30 and has a repeat performance Saturday.

Metra Construction Closure
Avoid Irving Park at Ravenswood Thursday, Alderman Ameya Pawar's Office said in a notice to residents. Metra construction workers will close that section of the street for the day.
Concert in Gidding Plaza
Pop-country artist Melanie Budd will be performing in Giddings Plaza Thursday as part of the Lincoln Square-Ravenswood Chamber of Commerce summer concert series. The free event starts at 6:30 p.m.

Dancing in the Square
In nearby Northcenter, get your groove on with Dancing in the Square. The free performances and dance lessons are brought to residents by Perceptual Motion, Inc and the Northcenter Chamber of Commerce. Fun begins at 7 p.m. at the town square, 4100 N. Damen Ave.
