Uptown Man Arrested for Prostitution in Ravenswood
Police arrested an 18-year-old man for soliciting a prostitute near Stockton Elementary School.
An 18-year-old man was charged with soliciting a prostitute near an elementary school last month.
On May 15, police caught Gelver Velasquez soliciting for a prostitute in the 4500 block of North Clark Street, according to reports. Since the crime occurred within 1,000 feet of Stockton Elementary School, he was charged with a felony count of prostitution.
Velasquez lives in the 4500 block of Magnolia Avenue in Uptown, about four blocks away from the reported crime.
