April Home Sales: Lisle Experiences Surge in Sales; Prices Dip Slightly
Lisle saw the strongest growth in the number of homes sold during the month of April among DuPage County communities. The median home price dipped slightly, according to the Mainstreet Organization of Realtors.

The 15 single, detached homes sold in Lisle during April 2013 represented a 150 percent increase over April 2012, when 6 homes were sold, according to the Mainstreet Organization of Realtors (MORe).
There were 8 homes sold in Lisle during March.
The number of homes sold increased significantly in April, while the median home price decreased slightly in April in Lisle. The median price declined 3.7 percent to $322,000 from $334,500 in April 2012.

Sales of single-family, detached homes in suburban Chicago increased 33.2 percent in April 2013 compared with the same period a year ago, MORe reported. Sales in DuPage County, were notable, as well. MORe gets its statistics from Midwest Real Estate Data. The median sale price for detached homes also increased 5.5 percent from the previous April.
Burr Ridge and Glen Ellyn were the only Patch communities in DuPage County to see declines in home sales during April.

Lisle had the largest percentage increase in home sales in DuPage County.
“Word about the activity in the market is getting around,” said Tonya Corder, president of MORe and managing broker of Keller Williams Preferred Realty in Orland Park. “I think people who had been sitting on the sidelines are starting to realize that the market is accelerating. With today’s low interest rates and affordable home prices, if you are a buyer, your opportunity is now.”
