Boys in grades 3-8 can make friends, learn basketball at Benedictine camp

Boys in grades 3-8 who want to learn the proper techniques and fundamentals of basketball should attend the Eagle Basketball Camp from 9:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m. on Tuesday-Friday, June 9-12, in the Dan and Ada Rice Center at Benedictine University.

The Eagle Basketball Camp creates an entertaining environment for learning the game of basketball. The camp focuses on excellent instruction in the fundamentals of offensive and defensive basketball to make each camper a better basketball player while placing them in a setting where they can develop lasting friendships with their fellow campers and coaches.

The clinics are conducted by men’s basketball coach and Benedictine Hall of Fame inductee Keith Bunkenburg, one of the country’s winningest active NCAA Division III coaches. Current and former coaches and college athletes serve as staff.

The camp fee is $220. All proceeds benefit the men’s and women’s basketball programs at Benedictine. Each camper receives a free lunch every day, a T-shirt and a camp basketball. For information, call (630) 829-6146. To register, go to www.ben.edu/Eaglecamp.
