Christmas Music Start Dates For 93.9 LITE FM, WCSF 88.7 FM
Whether you think it's too early for Christmas music, one area station will start playing the jolly tunes this week.

LISLE, IL — Ready or not, here it comes. Christmas music will take over Chicago's 93.9 LITE FM beginning 4:05 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 8. If you plan on tuning in between Thursday afternoon and through the holiday season, expect to hear nothing but Christmas songs when music plays.
As expected like every year, there are mixed feelings on the radio station's start date for the festive tunes.
Kylana Garrison commented on 93.9 LITE FM's Facebook post, "To everyone complaining about Christmas music before Thanksgiving: why are you all acting like there is a large catalog of Thanksgiving songs to choose from? "

However, there were several comments that lean towards the "too early" side, mentioning Thanksgiving as when they start listening to Christmas music.
Thanksgiving (Nov. 22) happens to be when Christmas music will take over the student-run radio station at the University of St. Francis, WCSF 88.7 FM. In its 25th year, the station's holiday tradition, The Spirit of Christmas, will offer commercial-free holiday music — including classics like "Suzy Snowflake" — 24 hours a day, from Thanksgiving through Jan. 2.
