Key players: Benet: Kelly Abello, Soph. F; Rachel Bernicky, Sr. D; Kate Hennessey, Sr. F; Jacquie Kaufman, Sr. MF. Neuqua Valley: Lauren Ciesla, Sr. D; Kiley Czerwinski, Sr. MF; Sophia Moreau, Sr. D; Hannah Parrish, Sr. GK; Danna Williams, Sr. MF.

Fast Facts: The seeds have held at the Class 3A Bolingbrook Regional, as fourth-seeded Benet meets fifth-seeded Neuqua Valley for the regional title. Despite earning the lower seed in the Class 3A Metea Valley Sectional, Neuqua is the higher ranked team by Chicagoland Soccer, checking in at ninth. Led by five Division I seniors, the Wildcats have allowed only 10 goals all season. A big reason for that is Parrish, who is headed to Baylor in the fall. Moreau, who will play at Bowling Green next year, and Illinois recruit Ciesla anchor the defense. The Wildcats also have a pair of Division I recruits in the midfield in the form of Czerwinski (Illinois State) and Williams (Purdue). Neuqua, the 2005 state champions, saw a string of 12 straight regional titles snapped last year. The Wildcats have three straight shutouts, including Wednesday’s 5-0 regional semifinal win over Plainfield Central. Benet is searching for its fourth straight regional title. The winners of the York Tournament are ranked 15th by Chicagoland Soccer. Abello has already committed to Penn State, though she is only a sophomore. Bernicky, a co-captain, is slated to play for Augustana next year. Hennessey plans to head to North Carolina to play for Division II Belmont Abbey next year. The winner of the game will face either Naperville North or Oswego in the Class 4A Metea Valley Sectional semifinals on Tuesday at 4:30 p.m.
