Cop's Finger Broken As Man Resists Arrest In Lisle: Police
Police say the officer's finger was broken while trying to arrest a man who was being uncooperative.
LISLE, IL — A Lisle police officer's finger was broken Thursday while they were attempting to arrest a man who was uncooperative, according to police. The incident took place around 8 p.m. in the 1600 block of Robin Lane.
Caprice A. Brewer, of the 5500 block of East Lake Drive, was charged with resisting a peace officer and causing injury, and criminal damage to property in connection with the incident.
Police say they were called to the above location for a report of a man who was yelling and throwing things at the door and window of an apartment building. When police got to the scene, they say they saw Brewer walking southbound from the apartment building and that he matched the suspect description that had been called in.

Officers say they ordered Brewer to stop, but that he refused. Police say they later stopped Brewer in a nearby parking lot and told him he was under arrest, but that Brewer resisted attempts to be taken into custody, which resulted in the officer's broken finger.
Brewer was taken to DuPage County Jail, where he is being held on $750 bond.
