Glendale Heights Oktoberfest Brings Bier, Brats, German Music
The festival runs from Sept. 12 through Sept. 22 and features German beer, food from Schnitzel Platz, live music, and more.
GLENDALE HEIGHTS, IL — Dust off your lederhosen. It's time for the Glendale Heights Oktoberfest. The festival, which runs from Sept. 12 through Sept. 22 features food from Schnitzel Platz restaurant, imported beer from Hofbrau, wandering "oompah" music, and more traditional German treats.
Visitors can stroll throughout the festival and pop in and out of tents to order food from servers dressed in traditional Dirndl costumes. In addition to brats and modern brews, Glendale Heights Oktoberfest will also feature beer from Weihenstephaner, billed as the oldest brewery in the world.
Kids can check out the pumpkin patch as they munch on German pastries. There will also be a plant sale and vendors selling traditional German food, collectibles, steins, and other knickknacks.

The Glendale Heights Oktoberfest runs from Sept. 12 through 22. The hours are as follows:
- Mondays through Thursdays: 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
- Fridays: 5 p.m. to 12 a.m.
- Saturdays: 12 p.m. to 12 a.m.
- Sundays: 12 p.m. to 12 p.m.
Admission is $5 for adults and free for kids 16 and younger.
