House Fire Displaces Residents In Woodridge
Fire officials say a neighbor alerted them after seeing smoke coming from a home in the 8100 block of Gatewood Lane.

LISLE, IL — A fire displaced a family from their home in Woodridge early Wednesday.
Firefighters got to the scene in the 8100 block of Gatewood Lane around 10 a.m. after a neighbor saw smoke coming from the house and dialed 911. Fire crews encountered high heat and heavy fire in the lower level of the home, but were able to contain the flames within 15 minutes, according to a news release from the Lisle-Woodridge Fire District.
Lisle-Woodridge firefighters got backup help to fight the blaze from the Darien-Woodridge Fire District, the Downers Grove Fire Department and the Lombard Fire Department.
