How To Recycle Christmas Trees, Lights In Lisle

LISLE, IL — Christmas has come and gone, so now Lisle residents can recycle their live trees and holiday lights. Curbside pickup of live Christmas trees will be available on Jan. 8.

To make sure your tree gets picked up, remove all garland, tinsel, ornaments and lights and place your tree at the curb. Flocked trees and trees in plastic bags will not be picked up.

Residents can also recycle their holiday lights at Lisle Village Hall though Jan. 31. The following types of lights will be accepted:

  • C7 lights
  • C9 lights
  • Rope lights
  • LED lights

Village officials note that garland, wreaths, and light-up figures will not be accepted for recycling.
