LISLE -- Ogden Avenue in Lisle is poised to undergo some major changes after village officials approved development plans for a tractor sales company and a strip mall. At Monday's board meeting, officials voted in favor of a $15 million development for West Side Tractor Sales Company and a 6,600 square foot commercial property proposed by Nhinhuyen, LLC.

The West Side Tractor Sales project will replace the Jeep/Eagle and Dodge/Ram dealerships at 3300-3400 Ogden Ave. with an authorized John Deere dealership and headquarters that are currently located in Naperville. Construction will include demolishing the building on the western end of the property and expanding the building on the eastern end of the property.

Lisle officials say the property and renovation deal involves a 20-year sales tax sharing agreement between West Side Tractor Sales and the village. Sales tax in excess of $100,000 is to be split 70/30 between the tractor sales company and the village, with the dealership's incentive being capped at $1.4 million.

The Nhinhuyen, LLC project will replace a former restaurant site in the 900 block of Ogden Avenue with a multi-tenant strip mall. The project will include rear and front parking, along with landscaping that aligns with the village's Ogden Avenue Corridor plan laid out in 2010.

In a press release, Lisle Assistant Village Manager Jack Knight said the projects represent a "promising new look for the future of the corridor."
