Lane, Ramp Closures Set for I-355 in Lisle
Bridge joint repair work is scheduled on the bridge over Hitchcock Avenue on Aug. 13 and 14.

DOWNERS GROVE, IL – Temporary, overnight lane and ramp closures are scheduled this weekend on the Veterans Memorial Tollway (I-355) at Hitchcock Avenue and Ogden Avenue in Lisle for bridge joint repair work.
Electronic message signs and construction signage will be put in place in advance to alert drivers to the overnight closures. The temporary closures are necessary to provide a work zone and safely accommodate the I-355 bridge repairs. All work is weather dependent.
On Saturday, Aug. 13, one southbound lane on I-355 at Hitchcock Avenue is scheduled to close at 6 p.m. to prepare for bridge joint repair work. A second lane will close at 6:30 p.m. In addition, the ramp carrying Ogden Avenue traffic to southbound I-355 will also close at 6:30 p.m. No detour will be posted. Drivers will be able to access southbound I-355 via the Maple Avenue Interchange to the south.

The Illinois Tollway is committed to ensuring that I-355 and other area roadways remain safe for both drivers and workers during construction, which is part of the agency’s overall commitment to roadway safety.
Construction zone speed limits are in effect in all construction zones 24/7 and drivers should continue to watch for changing traffic patterns and use caution, especially when workers are present. On I-355, a 45 mph work zone speed limit will be in effect.
