Lisle Coronavirus Cases Increase By 1.4 Percent

Since March 2020, Lisle has seen 1,669 coronavirus cases, according to DuPage County Health Department.

LISLE, IL — Lisle has seen 23 new coronavirus cases in the past week, according to information from DuPage County Health Department. These numbers show an increase over the previous week, which saw 16 new coronavirus cases.

As of March 16, Lisle had reported 1,646 total cases of the new coronavirus. Those numbers had increased to 1,669 as of March 23, reflecting a weekly increase of just under 1.4 percent.

DCHD recently began sharing the number of probable coronavirus cases in each municipality. Whereas the graph on DCHD's website includes probable cases, using the site's search bar yields a breakdown of probable and confirmed cases.

In Lisle, there have been 134 probable coronavirus cases since March 2020, according to county health records. With probable cases included, the total case count for Lisle is 1,803.

Lisle saw no additional coronavirus deaths in the past week. To date, there have been a total of 29 confirmed coronavirus-related deaths and two probable coronavirus deaths in the village, DCHD reports.

The number of coronavirus cases in nearby Naperville has increased by 102 cases in the past week in DuPage County, according to information from the DuPage County Health Department (DCHD). This is more than the previous week, which saw 76 new coronavirus cases in Naperville.

As of March 16, there had been 6,500 cases reported in the DuPage County portion of Naperville. The total number of cases reported in Naperville as of March 23 was 6,602 per DCHD.

In Naperville, there have been 892 probable coronavirus cases since March 2020. Including probable cases, the total coronavirus case count for Naperville is at 7,494.

There have been a total of 136 confirmed coronavirus-related deaths and 14 probable coronavirus deaths in Naperville since DCHD began tracking coronavirus statistics.

DuPage County recently reported that more than 200,000 residents had received the first dose of the coronavirus vaccine. The county also marked another milestone in late February, as its overall coronavirus positivity rate dropped to its lowest point since June 2020.

The risk of transmission in DuPage County is currently classified as "substantial."
