According to the report, the U.S. Department of Education recognized Meadow Glens at a National Blue Ribbon School in 2015. It was one of 335 schools honored with the distinction nationwide.
The school has a total enrollment of 447 for students in grades kindergarten through fifth. Meadow Glens spends $8,259 per pupil and has an attendance rate of 97 percent.

Schiesher Elementary School in Lisle ranked No. 4. It has a total enrollment of 418 students in grades K and 3-5. The school spends $10,994 per pupil and has an attendance rate of 95 percent.
