Lisle Lions Travel Basketball Finishes a Successful Season
Lisle Lions claim 4 championship titles in the 2014-2015 season

Lisle, IL – Lisle Lions Travel Basketball had an exciting and accomplished 2014-2015 season with several championship tournament wins.
The Lisle Lions competed in more than thirty games throughout the season, including travel league games, scrimmages and tournament competition. The 5th and 8th grade girls’ teams took first place in their respective West Suburban Girls Basketball League Travel Tournaments. Just as impressive, the 7th grade boys’ team also took first place in the DuPage Youth Travel Basketball League Tournament and the Glenbard Holiday Tournament. Congratulations to these talented athletes and their coaches on a successful year!
Lisle Lions Travel Basketball is dedicated to preparing athletes for high school level competition. Without the hard work and dedication of experienced, volunteer coaches, their success would not be possible, including Bryan Hermick (8th grade boys), Ed Vaughn & Carl Webb (7th grade boys), Tim Chapman (6th grade boys), Dan Cahill (5th grade boys), Dustin Weaver (8th grade girls), Byron Rossin (6th grade girls), and Carl Webb & Mike Beaumont (5th grade girls). Lisle Lions Travel Basketball is a competitive program offered through the Lisle Park District for boys and girls in 5th-8th grade. Open tryouts are usually held in September, where the coaches select players based on talent, sportsmanship and attitude. The Lisle Park District provides a variety of leisure activities for people of all ages throughout the year. Park district facilities include Lisle Community Park; the Recreation Center which houses Gentle Learning Preschool, SEASPAR, the Senior Center, and multipurpose rooms; Sea Lion Aquatic Park; River Bend Golf Course; Wheatstack – A Midwestern Eatery & Tap and numerous neighborhood playgrounds and parks offering amenities such as tennis courts, ball fields, walking paths and picnic areas totaling close to 400 acres. It is the mission of the Lisle Park District to enrich the quality of life for people of all ages by providing constructive and creative leisure opportunities.
