Lisle Police Issue 18 Citations During July 'Click It or Ticket' Campaign
Here's a recap of the Lisle Police Department's holiday crackdown on drunk drivers and seat belt law violators.

Lisle police made one DUI arrest and issued 18 citations during its July 4 enforcement campaign, officials said.
Officers conducted special patrol details as part of the Illinois Department of Transportation’s holiday "Click it or Ticket" campaign, according to a press release.
The Lisle Police Department joined forces with over 200 other state and local law enforcement agencies in conducting the crackdown campaign. The initiative featured high-visibility enforcement combined with a variety of outreach activities, including a media campaign and additional police activity.
Law enforcement agencies throughout Illinois participated in this statewide effort to get drunk drivers off roadways and encourage seat belt use, especially during late-night hours. Extra emphasis was given to those hours when statistics show the highest number of motorists drink and drive and the fewest buckle up, the release said.
The recent law enforcement crackdown was funded by federal traffic safety funds through IDOT’s Division of Traffic Safety and is part of the statewide Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over and Click It or Ticket campaigns.
