Man Charged With Possessing Stolen Gun In Lisle

LISLE, IL — A Chicago man faces multiple charges after police say he was caught possessing a stolen handgun during a reckless driving stop in Lisle Sunday. Davion D. Rousseau, 22, of the 800 block of North St. Louis Avenue in Chicago, was charged with possession of a stolen firearm, reckless driving and driving on a suspended license in connection with the incident.

Police say Rousseau was spotted on Ogden Avenue near Main Street going 30 mph over the speed limit. Officers tried to pull Rousseau over, but he did not stop, according to police.

Rousseau was stopped by Downers Grove police just west of Highland Avenue on Butterfield Road. Police say a loaded handgun was found during a search and the gun was found to have been reported stolen in Lexington, Kentucky, in January.

Rousseau was taken to DuPage County Jail.
