'Rash Of Stolen Vehicles' Reported In Lisle: Cops

Police say one stolen car was recovered Sunday after a brief chase.

LISLE, IL — Lisle police are investigating a "rash of stolen vehicles" located in the village, according to a social media post Sunday. A stolen car was recovered early Sunday following a brief chase, police said.

According to police, an officer spotted the white Kia Optima in a parking lot near near Maple and Benedictine Parkway Sunday morning. The officer tried to speak with the man who got into the car, but the man drove off.

A brief chase ensued, but was ended for safety reasons, police said. The car was later found in a nearby suburb.

Police also reminded residents to keep valuables out of cars and to keep cars locked when not in the vehicle.
